Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

The story of Matthew ended up touching many people. The members of the tectonic theater gathered information from many interviews to create this play. Using those interviews they were able to develop a play which had a story feeling to it. Plays usually have scenes, in The Laramie Project they have moments. These moments kind of end up being like scenes. They show a different environment with a different idea. It seems as if the interviews were basically taken directly and just placed with in the play. However, the way in which it flows makes it seem like it was though through. At least reading the play, that is what I get. A sense of simplicity, yet straight to the point.
