Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

The Laramie project
The play seems like it represent Laramie town as everyone love each other, care for one another, but at the same breathe you can see the homophobia that consume the town with the prejedous believes. The character Shannon calling Mathew "a rich bitch" or Jen denying the idea that he got murder because he was gay, in her words she applying the murderers would have done that to anybody. Insight of all that the community being United because of Mathew's murder, and bring the town closer together, maybe shows that they all can learn from this tragedy, that people can change.
