This short story was very interesting to me. The fact that he is imagining all the people he loves the most coming back from the dead. It was weird that they were covered in mud, he didn't even mind hugging his father. I felt the heart ache when he mentioned his wife, the feeling of loss is something I am familiar with. This seems to me as a dream or a fantasy. The thought of the people you love the most coming back to give you one last good bye. I wish I had gotten that, I miss my mother more and more as eachday passes. I wished I got a last hug and kiss goodbye. I don't understand why he didn't get that goodbye from his wife, I would have taken any chance if I were in his shoes.

These are both really good responses, Amanda. It's interesting that there is an overlap in the kind of stories that you're pointing out. Both of these stories are about loss of loved ones which, as you point out, you've gone through recently. Maybe you should try to write a text about your own loss?
