My Lawrence in NSF

My Lawrence by Claudia Smith is one of my favorite story. It's simple yet so complex. If you see with a deeper meaning you can see and feel what the author is. The relationship with the robot/android and the author is weird, and it shows what it would be like if you had a robot as a partner. Lawrence used to be her husbands name but the robot adopted it. The robot doesn't provide what her husband did like sex but he gives her pleasure in doing things that makes her not feel alone. The robot does anything she wants and all he wants to do is provide and make her happy. I feel like that's a lot of relationships between humans. Sometimes all we want to do is make our partner or a loved one happy, we become slave to that. You don't notice at the begging but you give your all to make that person happy. the robot gives her everything she is missing when it comes to feelings beside sex but his company makes her feel better. She lost her son and husband so he became her shoulders to cry, her helper, friend, son and husband; all at once. This story is short but made me feel like there should be a book about it instead. If there was a book on this story, I would definitely read it.
