Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

The laramie project
From the small segment of The Liaramie project I was able to conclude that Aaron friends, Shannon and Jen weren't surprised by his actions. Jen knew about Aaron's previous criminal activities such as robbing people anyone that looked rich or vulnerable. Jen just wasn't sure if those targets included gay people, like Matthew. The authors did a great job by including multiple points of view through the play. Some viewed Aaron as innocent where as others didn't care and just wanted justice to be served. Another point that stuck out to me was Harry Woods reaction to the play, he had tears of joy. Even though he wasn't able to physically be there due to his disability but he sure was emotionally.
