Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

Sort of Rant
In the most mundane form of words, the unexpected should always be expected. Life itself will always throw vastly different obstacles in our paths. As we struggle to continue our understanding of it all, we also gain the ability to recognize that not all obstacles will be so easily hurdled over, sometimes we'll need the momentum of all of our previous endurance's to aid us over. Through those experiences we find understanding and evolvement for the person we'll be tomorrow. Obstacles are merely a creation produced by life itself to test our strength. The maturation of that strength is all we need as human beings to reach our constant desire to be prosperous, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. To be empathetic to ourselves during the time necessary to achieve said prosperity, is to be accepting of ones humanity.
