Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

Mysticism (Prose)
Create the myth about you. shroud yourself in mystery. Make people think that finding a trait about you is a great task. Sarcastic will turn into witty. Lazy turns into lackadaisical. Let people doubt that you are, in fact, a person. So when you aren't in attendance they can't possibly think of what you could be doing. Your laugh will become a pirate's chuckle, your sigh: a powerful gust and your smile shines that much more enigmatic. The mystery to solve you will attract all kinds. Let them think they're chasing you when you haven't moved at all.
