Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

Bicentennial stanza 12
In Stanza 12, the author is describing a room where a boy is being taken care of. He described that the dorm room is tidy and the nuns were kind. They gave him toys. The dormitory was attached to a chapel as it is mentioned in stanza 11. In stanza 13, it mentions one of the items that a nun brought to the dormitory. Stanza 12 makes me think that the dormitory is where he lived for the time being. This was until he got a house like it is mentioned in stanza 11.
