I would have to the general idea is love but I'm not quite sure because it goes into detail about other things. she talks in past tense so I believe she is recalling all these memories, she uses words like saw, so one can infer that this happened in the past. being a fiction this should be considered a brief moment in time, this is how she sees things or rather what here lover is experiencing and that she has told no one about this. dark I would have to say, I believe its common knowledge that we have evolved in many ways so to say that her lover is going through reverse evolution, that's tough. I would have to say fairy tail like with a realistic twist, I have never heard of anyone go through reverse evolution so that contributed deeply to my answer. if he was your lover why did you leave him to drift away, should love transcend species, but some would claim we are all animals we certainly behave like them so why cant we love them to the extend of having them by our side forever.
