The Laramie

The Laramie Project is different from an traditional play. The Laramie has the similar format of having different acts to indicate that a change of scenery or a small change of  parts of one story. However, the Laramie has moments instead of breaks. The moments are short important things that happen in the Acts. Meaning, instead of continuing on one moment during each act, multiple moments happened and with different people. Each moment share a common idea about Religion and society involvement with sexuality. And with each mentioning of being gay or lesbian, there were parts of moments when it was dialog between three people and then there was others that was about involvement and opinions about such subject. In theater, the tradition way is like watching a movie or reading a book. There are breaks or time skips but they continue on with the story. The Laramie however doesn't really do that but it still is considered as a play. Its multiple stories that comes together to create one big story.

  1. I think this play is going exactly how their life is going. Plays usually skip certain days or times. But this play added all the important things that are going on. It sort of makes you feel like you are actually in the play. This has been written like a story/play mixed. This play also teaches a lesson in reality.
