Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

reaction to the flim
Watching the film was definitely different than reading it, it was creative the way the used the music in the background and how they spliced the interviews to get the point across. The shifts were much easier to follow and i think the did a very convincing job with the emotions that needed to be portrayed. Reading the play yea we understood that the town was homophobic but to see actors portraying the incident made me feel like it was being reported and i was watching something informative rather than a play about making a play. One thing i would say that was a little different was the way i was reading it i gave some characters more of an attitude or ditsy rather than how they were played.
